How I got there: We drove here from Sydney and the drive was beautiful and smooth.
Total Duration: Forster is about a three-and-a-half-hour drive away from Sydney. We drove here on a winter Saturday and spent the weekend here.
Traffic light for children: Green
About the place: We visited a few amazing beaches here and spent time by just relaxing and overall having a very peaceful trip. As this was in winter, we couldn't get out and play in the beach, but we could definitely have a lovely time looking at the scenic places and enjoying the winter sun.
The first stop was Forster Main Beach. It is such a lovely beach and the skies looked absolutely fantastic. The highlight to me was that there were no people around, which enabled me to take pretty good pictures!
The next stop was Pebbly beach, just 250m away from the Forster Main Beach. It is a lovely walk down to the beach and the pebbles look so wonderful, no wonder it's called the Pebbly Beach. We watched the waves dash past the pebbles and just walked barefoot on the pebbles and had so much fun, without even getting into the beach.
After this, we went to the Forster Bridge, which is a very famous attraction in Forster. The next two days, we spent time in and around the bridge. There are some lovely short walks here, you can even go boating, watch the sunset, walk on the bridge, eat some good food and just hang around here. The views are iconic especially because there is such a lovely combination of sands and water and it looks really wonderful.
You can even walk under the bridge and also by the water, and it feels very romantic, especially if you do it in the evening. There are so many wonderful places to eat in Forster, our most favourite was the Egyptian restaurant called The King's Valley. I would definitely recommend Forster for a perfect weekend away with your family or partner.
Seems a nice place to visit on a winter weekend. Photo's have come very nicely especially the skyscape n beaches.
