Food scenes in Bangalore, India

GO NATIVE

How I got there: Go Native is a chain of restaurants in Bangalore. I went to the one in Jayanagar.

About the place: This is one of those restaurants that also has a boutique store that sells clothes, hand made jewellery and natural products like essences, soaps, handicrafts etc. You can easily spend half a day here; I saw a lot of college kids with their laptops lazing around here. The food is excellent. I would say this is fusion food. Traditional native ingredients in modern food. We had dahlia made from spinach, you can eat pizzas made from rava and it is healthy and delicious. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure.

The pictures below show the boutique and the delicious dishes that I had in Go-Native including Spinach Dhalia, Meddur Vada, Papdi Chaat

The boutique

CORNER TEA VILLA CAFE

How I got there: Tea Villa Café, Bangalore

About the place: The scene in the tea villa café is very Mexican, sandwiches, desserts, and tea! The café is aesthetically designed with bright colours, but rustic English vibes. You can see a lot of mid-century modern furniture and it is a great place to hang with friends. The food and juices are delicious, and you get a lot of insta worthy shots in the café. Do not give this café a miss the next time you are in Jayanagar, Bangalore

CORNER HOUSE

How I got there: Corner House

About the place: Corner House Ice creams are Bangalore’s most trusted ice cream, and the best part of this chain is that their menu has not changed for more than 60 years. I remember the times when I used to hangout in here more than 15 years ago with my friends and when I went to the place in 2022, nothing had changed. The yummiest of ice creams that you can trust to be crafted with perfection!
