How I got there: We drove to Saddles from Western Sydney for a Saturday brunch with our friends. It takes less than an hour to get here, since it is situated in the Central Coast region. You will have to book a table, days in advance, as this place tends to be fully booked, and I’m not at all surprised by it. Read further to know why!

About the place: When I saw the website of Saddles, I was drawn to this place. Some places have such a unique way of presenting themselves and Saddles is definitely one of them. Websites speak by themselves so wonderfully, as they show you a virtual tour of the place and I would say that Saddles has one of the best websites that I have seen in recent times. It’s a gourmet bakehouse and restaurant and has different menus for different seasons. We went here in Autumn and it had the perfect autumn savory and sweet brunch menu loaded with doughnuts and cream and brioches and house made waffles.
As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are instantly hit by a country charm, lots of wooden architecture and you have saddles as bar seats! So unique and so incredibly attractive!
There were wooden display pieces and heaters outdoors and we had a perfect brunch for the Autumn weather. Definitely a "wintery" vibe in the bakehouse, even its restrooms are decorated in a vintage woodenly country style. When they brought out our food order, we were thrilled because the food was presented so exquisitely. This place is spread over acres and you can go for a walk in the grounds, where you have some amazing waterfront views. I will most certainly go back here in winter, can't wait to try their winter menu!
