How I got there: My husband and I took a trip to Narooma for 2 nights and 3 days. We drove from Sydney on a Friday morning in November and came back on Sunday evening. Unfortunately, it was raining so we couldn’t go to the beach and laze around, but we did visit the heritage town of Tilba for a day and had a lot of fun!
Total duration: The drive from Sydney to Narooma is about 5 hours down South and from Narooma to central Tilba, it takes about 15 minutes. We spent half a day in central Tilba.
Traffic light for children: Green
About the place: Tilba is like a picture-perfect postcard heritage town. And because it was rainy when we visited the town, it made it even more appealing to the eyes and was perfect to have some homemade scones and jam and tea!
Central Tilba is set in a picturesque location surrounded by greenery, freshness, hills, and mountains. We parked our car and just took a walk in Tilba. Central Tilba is home to the ABC cheese factory, and you can get really good cheese and ice cream in here. We took home a really good selection of cheese and crackers from in here.
There are other beautiful home crafted and home-made candles and home-wares shops over here. The town is really small, but oh how pretty! Just walking in here transports you to the olden days. You can easily spend a day in here, from having breakfast to lunch and visiting all the different shops and places and just taking a casual stroll around the town.
