The most interesting thing about Vietnam for me was that more than 80% of the people there do not identify with a religion. People do celebrate festivals together and have an amalgamation of cultural values but do not actively follow a religion. One of the tourist guides told me that in their village, they identify their parents as gods and worship elders and ancestors in the family. Most of the Vietnamese folk are incredibly happy people and always smiling and there are a lot of working women in Vietnam. I had an immensely culturally stimulating experience when I visited Vietnam.
