Starters/Appetisers including corn ribs! In order:

  1. Watermelon sashimi, tamari dressing, pickled ginger, wakame

  2. Corn ribs, smoked chili miso, togarashi

  3. Daikon mochi, chilli rayu, salted cucumber

  4. Asparagus, black sesame, perilla, chilli oil

The food is extremely exotic, and not very expensive for a restaurant of this sorts. As you know, I am a vegetarian and I ordered a vegetarian set menu which had more than 7 dishes served (appetisers, mains, barbecue and dessert !) Every dish that was served was hand crafted with extreme care and plated beautifully. The variety of foods, fruits and vegetables used was unexpectedly awesome from tomatoes, different types of radishes, tomatoes, ginger in savoury dishes and chocolate and strawberries and coconut cream etc in the dessert. Although I do not remember the names of the dishes, I can say without a doubt that I gobbled everything that was put in front of me and also ordered an extra dessert, because one wasn't enough!

Barbecue and Mains. In order:

  1. Mushroom barbecue

  2. Egg fried rice

  3. Eggplant dengaku, smoked yoghurt, hazelnut gomasio

Desserts.

  1. Liquorice mousse, coconut sorbet, sake, mochi

  2. Malt chocolate ganache, raspberry sorbet, umeboshi, Davidson plum meringue

Save this place for your next dinner date!
