Moreton Island Cruise - Queensland

How I got there: I went on a cruise to Moreton Island from Sydney, boarding in Circular Quay, back in 2018.

Total duration: The cruise was 3 nights 4 days, with one day to spend time in Moreton Island, Queensland.

Traffic light for children: Green

About the place: If you want to do a relaxing trip with your parents or your family, a cruise is the best thing that I can suggest. Starting from food, through to the activities on the cruise, guaranteed fun is the one word that pops up to my mind. Now, let me talk about Moreton Island! My O My!! It is such a wonderful island, full of adventure sports and sand dunes! You can do sandboarding here, which is a tiring and enjoyable activity, go around the pretty huge island or just stay at the beach, relentless staring at the ocean! The beach itself has a long stretch of easily walkable sands and over the years, the water has created a natural wavy pattern of the sands. I have not seen this in other beaches in Australia, usually, you would have the sands being washed away by the waves. But here, the pattern created by the sand is noticeable and quite tough on your toes. There are also many colors that you can see in the ocean and the photos you take look like postcards, ready to be sent out.

The sunsets and sunrises that you can see on a cruise are just phenomenal. It is like real sunrise over the horizon. The sun looks so much bigger and better and you feel like your ship is chasing towards the sun. The effect is brilliant. The sun lights up the whole ocean endlessly and the reflections are so powerful that you just stay put and raptured!
