Taste of Kangaroo Island, South Australia

How I got there? When I stayed at Sea Dragon (https://seadragonkangarooisland.com/) on Kangaroo Island, I took the half day Taste of Kangaroo Island tour with my husband and some wonderful people that we met at the Sea Dragon Hotel and Resort. Although the tour is titled "Half a day", it did cover a significant part of the day, having started the tour at 10 AM and ending at 5 PM. Kangaroo Island in all its wildness and marvel offers spectacular deliciousness to the taste buds. There was a lot of gin and olives and cheese tasting that we did but we also had a lot to eat, which was really really delicious. Driving around Kangaroo Island takes a lot of time, I can going to show you sneak peaks into all the places we visited. Below I have for you a tour of the gin distillery that we visited.

Gin tasting experience

Having never visited a gin distillery before, I can say that the experience of doing this tasting was definitely one off the bucket list. I never knew that gin when mixed with the right mixers and spices can taste really good. After this experience we had lunch at this distillery and just sitting here having gin and warming ourselves under the fire was an enthralling experience. Here is the link to Kangaroo Island Spirits websites that has goods straight off the distillery -> https://kangarooislandspirits.com.au/

On our way to the Kangaroo Island Spirits, we stopped at a picnic location to have lunch and wine cooked by the Sea Dragon Hotel. How delicious does food taste when you have an amazing view in front of you and even amazing company to share it with!Looks something like this...

We then headed over to an olive tasting tasting, which was really delicious. Having olives and cheese after you've been to a gin tasting is definitely the cherry on top of the cake.

Olives and cheese tasting

Prior to starting our gin tasting, we stopped by at a lavender farm, I'm just saving one of the best for the last. Lavender cake over here is one of the best that I've ever had.

To wind it all off, we had a wonderful dinner at the Sea dragon Hotel, every dish that was put before us tasted simply delicious. You have a dinner spread with that has starters and mains done with exotic veggies and desserts of chocolate and pies with cream, which are to die for! Here are the pictures to prove...
