About the place - Enjoy this visual diary of Wairakei Terraces - Thermal Health Spa in the Rotorua region of New Zealand in the North Island. This is the most wonderful spa that I have ever been to, we went here twice during our stay in the North Island. The place is so surreal that it is impossible to believe that this is a natural spa, it is made to perfection by Mother Nature, the hot springs water originating at the top, cooling their way down pumice stones, and the natural blue colour of silica suspended in water makes for a wonderful haven. A wonderful place to relax after a hike, or just on a normal day. After I had a bath in here, the healing benefits were so evident, I had the most clear skin ever! You can immediately feel that sense of calm as soon as you step into this thermal spa. Research has revealed that collagen can reverse the ageing process; the body needs silica to make collagen. Silica strengthens bones, boosts the immune system; promotes healthy nerves, mucous membranes, hair, nails & is used in treating acne and migraines.
